European Operations

TODAY Systems returns European presence with new local office. The new office in Sweden opening January 2005, prepares for the December 2005 release of BuildProfessional Version 9, the next major release of the TODAY business application framework. Sweden has always been an early adopter of TODAY technologies and our presence there will help expedite the release of the new product.

Platforms and Interfaces in Obsolescence Phase

The following operating platforms are in obsolescence phase. The following platforms and interfaces will be supported only through October 1, 2005:

  • SUN SOLARIS UNIX. This platform has been dropped due to lack of customer interest and vendor activity.
  • HP HP-UX for PA-RISC. This platform has been dropped due to lack of customer interest and vendor activity.
  • IBM AIX. This platform has been dropped due to lack of customer interest and vendor activity.

The following databases are in obsolescence phase. The following database intefaces will be supported only through October 1, 2005:

  • Informix. IBM Informix. This includes all variants of the Informix database except C-ISAM. This platform has been dropped due to lack of customer interest and vendor activity.

Obsolescence pertains to all TODAY Systems products including BuildProfessional, BuildProfessional Web-API and TODAY V5. Please contact TODAY Systems for platform and database alternatives. Site specific support contracts are available if you want to extend support for these platforms. Contact your local reseller to TODAY Systems for more information.

TODAY Systems enters business application market throught the acquisition of Operating Control Systems.

New BuildProfessional Release 8.03.00

The latest release includes significant new features and commands.

  • Dynamic database connection.
  • New commands.
  • Ability to create directories, query the file system and remove files.

New OCS Service Release 207.01

The new OCS service release is now available for download from the OCS customer web site. This release has the following new enhancements:

  • EFT remittance advice can now be sent by fax or emailed.
  • Material allocation can purchase stocked items as a direct charge item if not stock at the users local sites/warehouses.
  • Material import facility added. This allows the import of catalog items including pricing information from spreadsheets.

BuildProfessional:
New commands in BuildProfessional 8.03 allow file manipulation from logic. This includes making directories and examining files in a directory. See the new TEXT *MKDIR, *MOVE, *COPY and *DIR commands.
OCS:
The Purchase Order Fax Log produces a report by comparing the purchase order printed information from OCS against data extracted from the external faxing program. Read more about managing fax reports.
